Addressing Water Challenges in Chongwe

Integrating water security into climate solutions for holistic community resilience

Reduced Rainfall

Chongwe experiences reduced and irregular rainfall, delayed rainy seasons, and prolonged dry spells due to climate change.

Borehole Challenges

Local authorities warn that boreholes risk running dry due to prolonged drought conditions and dropping groundwater levels.

Our Integrated Response

We support borehole infrastructure, promote water-sensitive restoration, and train communities on efficient water use.

Zambian Indigenous Tree Seed Bank
